In my experience, the dark one constantly showed water spots and it looked dusty/dirty constantly. I don't recall either of these issues with the lighter composite deck I owned previously. It's hard to tell on the sample, but the "striations" in the lighter one look very tropical, which I liked. That being said... I do really like the darker one too! I don't know anything of the product as far as maintenance but I like the dark one BUT it can show more dirt etc than a light floor which is why I went with a lighter wood in my house. I would probably feel the same for outside too but it would be hard to choose anyway!!!!Our Avalon Journeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12006488038445573601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256584705522516859.post-17252769738256653262013-03-05T11:20:14.821-05:002013-03-05T11:20:14.821-05:00I like the darker one too! The dark picks up a lot and you must be okay with the maintenance. Option #1 for sure! I just love the darker tones and don't mind the maintenance. We got a dark shade of TimberTech as well, as a contrast to our Sandtone siding. We love it, love the color, love everything about it. The only issue is, the darker the color, the more everything shows. Our seed never took in our back yard, so it is dusty when dry and muddy when wet. Every rain drop shows in the dust, and every doggy paw print shows when it is muddy. It doesn't just rinse off when it rains -- it requires a strong stream from the hose nozzle. But when it is clean, it is stunning!Esquire-ranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06438547325568138120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256584705522516859.post-71878807362600691952013-03-04T13:46:15.330-05:002013-03-04T13:46:15.330-05:00I agree with Sherri!
