My Etsy Shop is Open for Business!

I am thrilled to announce that my long-awaited etsy.com shop {Waffle Bunny Creations} is finally open for business! So far I have four items listed (shown below), but I plan to add more in the very near future (including custom family name signs). I am also participating in a local craft show so I have been busy working on my inventory for that. It's at Kingsway High School in Woolwich, NJ on November 1st from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, so if you're in the area, stop on by and say hi!

The paper towel holder is one of my newest projects and I will be showing you how I made that soon. It involves a new power tool and some serious pleading with the Home Depot pipe-cutting guy :).

You might be wondering where my shop name came from... To begin with, I love bunnies.  I had two rabbits growing up (Sniffers and Franky) and I currently have a rabbit named Peter (who may or may not have his own bedroom in our house). My old boss was quite the jokester, and when things would get stressful around the office he would email us random photos or memes to lighten the mood. When he sent the "waffle bunny" picture, I fell in love with this little bunny named Oolong. He even has his own wikipedia page! So from then on, whenever I was down or needed a laugh, Greg would send me the waffle bunny picture to make me smile.  I mean, if this doesn't make you smile I don't know what will!!

I was mulling over names for my shop with friends in our group text chatroom and I had just sent them the picture of the waffle bunny, so one of them suggested I name my shop after him. At first I thought it was so silly, but the more I thought about it, the more I liked it.  I mean, it makes me smile every time I think about it, so I am hoping it will bring smiles to the faces of everyone who visits my shop as well! And if anything, it will be a conversation starter, right?

I would love it if you can take a minute to check out my shop and give me feedback. You can also buy directly from my blog on my new "Shop" page.  And as a thank you to all of my blog readers for supporting me through all of my crazy ideas and projects, I'm offering you all 10% off of anything from my shop for the next two weeks! Just enter the coupon code MTCBLOG2014 at checkout.

I am linking up at these great parties... go check them out!

  7. Crazy ideas and projects doesn’t mean they don’t get to be the best. In fact, I don’t find anything silly about naming your business “Waffle Bunny”. It’s rather catchy and unique – factors that will tweak the interest of your prospective customers. Cheers!
